Description
Oil-Rite manufactures Lubrication Systems specifically to customer requirements. All systems are engineered, designed, manufactured and fully tested at Oil-Rite. This is an example of a custom built Circulating Oil System.
This Circulating Oil System has a gear pump providing .3 GPM at 10 PSI. The 1/3 HP, 1725 RPM, TEFC is operated by three phase power at 230/460V 60Hz.
The 5 gallon capacity reservoir is constructed of welded steel. The reservoir has (2) 1” NPT return connections and (2) ½” NPT drains. A top filler cap makes filling the reservoir quick and simple. The filler cap is equipped with an air filter and liquid strainer to help maintain liquid quality. A baffle in the tank separates sediment and reduces turbulence. There is a bronze Y-Strainer with a 50 mesh stainless steel element near the pump suction inlet to filter out debris.
The 23 micron, 1000 beta, cellulose filters near the outlet help maintain liquid quality One filter can be serviced while maintaining continuous system operation by using the duplicate filter. The filters have spin-on elements for easy replacement. Dual differential pressure gages and switches are provided to monitor circulation and signal an alarm caused by high levels of filter contamination.
This Circulating Oil System features an air cooled heat exchanger to help regulate liquid temperature. A stainless steel dial thermometer displays 0 to 250°F.
Additional controls include:
- A stainless steel pressure gaeg, located near the system outlet, displaying 0 to 30 PSI.
- A cast iron bypass relief valve, adjustable 3-15 PSI, located near the system outlet to control system outlet pressure.
- (2) Needle valves located at each outlet to adjust oil flow.
- Bronze check valves located after each filter and at the system outlet to ensure fluid flows in only one direction.
All Circulating Oil Systems are quoted specifically to customer requirements. Pricing can be determined only after the Circulating Oil System Request Form (found on this page) is completed. Contact the bearing manufacturer for information on the flow rate and fluid required.
Delivery is dependent upon supplier availability, lead times range from 4 to 10 weeks.
